    - Beatuiful and nice place to stay - Nice pool for relaxing and chilling - Calm atmosphere in a calm neighbourhood overall: It was a nice place for us in september 2018 because of the beautiful landscape, neighbourhood and atmosohere. If you like calm locations, "Lithos" should be a solution for your next holiday.

  • Restful home for exploring Crete!

On our arrival we were warmly greated by George and his wife Penelope and introduced to the house essentials. We were pleased to see that Villa Pemonia was a diligent effort to reconstruct an abandoned home along traditional design but with modern facilities. Local materials like stone and wood are tastefully used throughout but the windows and screens were welcome modern additions as was a modern kitchen with all the basic necessities for cooking meals. We were a little perplexed with a fruitbowl of what I thought initially were real fruit but turned out to be plastic. We rapidly replaced the plastic with real fruit from the local MiniMarket. With five people in our multigenerational family we made good use of the washing machine but had trouble finding places to hang clothes to dry. We should have asked for a drying rack which I am sure George has stored some place but we were too busy exploring both the North and South sides of Crete from our central point in Pemonia. Our breakfasts under the huge oak tree were memorable. Thanks George and Penelope for your rapid efforts to make us feel secure and comfortable. We had a very restful 6 night stay at Villa Pemonia before traveling on to other areas in Crete.
