We rented this property for a week during September 2018. The house is spotless, very well appointed and it has beautiful views. We were looking to have a truly relaxing and quiet vacation and we found the perfect spot. The property is very well taken care of and Aldo (the manager) was very helpful with our late check-in and with information about the surroundings. Great pool for cooling off and swimming. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

My adult son and I did a few weeks together in Sicily and spent 6 of our nights here. It was perfect for us and by far the nicest place we stayed on our trip. First the 2 equal bedrooms were very nice - comfortable, roomy and airy at night for sleep. Somehow there were no bugs at all with the windows and shutters wide open. The downstairs with nice open living area, kitchen, small breakfast table etc was excellent - with TV reception in many languages including 4 or 5 English speaking channels. Even nicer was the exterior - many different sitting arrangements on the sides and back of the house, pretty flowers, nice outdoor shower, etc. Overall very comfortable. Plus you're sitting the midst of their own vines and olive trees, and the beautiful cypress trees lining the drive are pretty and impressive. As for the beach you have either to drive a bit down a dirt road to a somewhat steep and rocky patch down to - when we were there at least - a nearly deserted and lovely beach. Or, to drive into Porto Palo (maybe 10 minutes), which I preferred, where the public beach has facilities like umbrellas and chairs and places for drinks and sandwiches. Again the beach is lovely! We had 6 dinners in Porto Palo - 2 at da Vittorio, 2 at da Gambrel and 2 at a place I cannot recall. All were really nice, Vittoria especially, and you'll certainly be able to eat well in this town. The cuttlefish spaghetti at Vittorio's was a very big highlight. The mussels were amazing everywhere! Finally and most importantly we found Umberto, his wife and his son to be absolutely wonderful people. On day 1 we got lost finding the place and they cheerfully drove into Porto Palo to rescue us. When we got to the house they offered us all sorts of things - their homemade wine and olive oil, coffee and breads, and other things. They obviously love the house and are happy and proud to show it off - and it mattered a lot to us. (The son Emilio spoke very good English which helped us as US visitors.) We would again rent this beautiful home, in this beautiful place, from these lovely people in a heartbeat. We should be so lucky as to get back there some day!
