Modena is a lovely city with a number of interesting sites, restaurants, and things to do. It's also a good jumping off point for day trips to explore Emilia Romagna. This apartment could not be better for any of these intentions. We decided to stay in Modena for 10 nights. We were completely happy with our choice of this apartment. The location is very central in Modena, so getting around was easy without driving. When we did drive out of town, the car was in a large, free parking area about 5-7 minutes walk away. We did not meet Giorgio, but his son gave us a thorough orientation to the apartment and answered our questions. Giorgio did send us several messages during our stay to ensure everything was okay. The apartment is very comfortable. The living /dining area has a comfortable sofa and chair and a large dining table. We don't cook meals, but the kitchen appeared to have whatever one might need. The Albinelli Mercato is nearby, so supplying our needs for breakfast and snacks was easy. There is also an excellent coffee bar adjacent to the apartment’s ground floor entrance. The bed is comfortable; the bedding and towels are high quality. There is an amazing amount of storage including a large walk-in closet. There is a washer and dryer and the bathroom is modern. We found this to be a charming, comfortable apartment that could not have been better for us. In our years of vacation rentals in Italy this apartment is among the best.

Our stay at Borgo-degli Ulivi was wonderful. We enjoyed hosts Alessandro and Angela who were very welcoming. Alessandro showed us into our apartment and showed us around the grounds and pool area. We had the mini apartment which had just been added to the building with 2 other apartments. Our apartment had a kitchen/living room area, a separate bedroom, nice bathroom and a private outdoor patio area. It was well equipped and comfortable. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked very inviting. The farm is gated with private parking. It was a very comfortable apartment. Alessandro speaks English and he was very helpful suggesting places to visit. Alessandro and Angela live in the main house on the farm and are available all the time. Our our first night there Alessandro and Angelo hosted a wine and appetizer reception for us and 3 other couples staying at Borgo-degli Ulivi - delicious food (especially Angela's special appetizer that she made), wonderful conversation and friendly people!! An enjoyable beginning to our stay there. Angela spoke a little English and I enjoyed talking to her. We also met their son, Fredrico, who lives nearby - a very interesting young man. We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Roy and Sheila California USA
