Alessio was very helpful and answered e-mails promptly. I had a disconcerting GPS problem taking me to a location 2 h away where I was supposed to meet Alessio and get keys for the house. He arranged for me to meet the person who takes care of the property instead, Remo who was very nice and helpful. We end up not having time to spend at the house since everyday we drove somewhere else but I cooked regular meals for breakfast and dinner and found all basics we needed. We had similar experience as previous guests. Being from NYC, proximity to the road didn't bother us and noise of cars very infrequent at night (I didn't hear at all). No cell phone reception in the property at all, I even crossed the road and tried different spots, but was ok without it. No internet connection as well but I was ok with. We kept ourselves busy, so even my 13yo daughter survived without internet. Since this is a basic country house, expect the common bugs (beetles, flies, daddy-long-legs, moths) around outside and some inside, which was a bit of my problem for my 10yo girl but her older sister made some pet friends with the abundant lizards around the place. We visited Siena, Firenze, Volterra, Massa maritima, Pisa, some hiking trails and monasteries and follonica beach.
The house is very nice. There is lots of room and a nice yard. Good also with children.
You can go for a walk in the forest straight from the garden.
There is an entrance to the street where you find a cafe. The people of the village are very nice.
The owners are very helpful and nice people. They helped us a lot during our stay.
We were staying in the house with six children and we had plenty of room. The house is overall excellent.
