If Sergio ever longs to give up his job as an attorney, he can slip into being a GM at a five star hotel without missing a beat. No need to do research before your stay: Just do what he tells you, from eating at the best nearby restaurants to exploring the best adventures far afield. We felt more cared for than we have at a five star property in Taormina, with Sergio thoughtfully checking in and sending proposed itineraries, and an even greater luxury: At night we got to return to sit silently on the terraces, watching the moon rise while listening to the Ionian sea lap against the rocks, from which our daughters gleefully jumped off nightly for swims before dinner. We were a family of four and had ample room to spread about and read in the house and terraces in the morning and evening. The kitchen is perfectly appointed for even serious chefs should you stay in for meals, but we were delighted just to have breakfast of fresh cherries, apricots, peaches and eggs, stocked by the lovely proprietor in the market steps away. The harbor town is beyond charming; don't miss the restaurant at the port for seafood and for 25 Euros, hire the lovely captain of Nemo for several hours of swimming and watching dolphins play beneath the boat. Sergio and his home made this one of the most magical weeks of our lives. You couldn't do better.
Villa Vanisia exceeded expectations. Our wonderful host, Daniela was attentive to our every request. 7 lovely bedrooms, 5 with private bath rooms. Infinity pool and jacuzzi. Private. Fresh lemons and oranges in the garden. Five minute drive to Acicastello port (just north of Catania), 10 minute walk to Acicastello town. The villa is beautifully decorated and has every amenity one could want in a luxury resort. Better than as represented in the VRBO posting. Thank you Daniela for making our stay perfect! Best wishes to you and your family from your Canadian friends.
