I am having a hard time coming up with enough superlatives to describe our stay in the Trullo Nora. The setting is quiet, calm and pastoral, as it lies in the middle of gorgeous olive grove with almond trees, flowering jasmine, and a cherry tree bursting with ripe cherries. Although seemingly in the country, it is only 7 minutes to Putignano and the large grocery store. The heated pool was used daily in the afternoon and was a godsend during our heat wave. Even with chilly nights, the pool was heated so as not to lose its nice temperature. We spent most meals eating outside on the covered terrace enjoying the views and the breezes. One evening, we even spied a fox trotting across the grove.
The trullo is GORGEOUS outside and inside. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had everything we needed to cook meals 4 nights. We only used one of the 3 bedrooms (the twin bed room was used for storage, and having 2 bathrooms was very nice. The air conditioning was very much appreciated during the heat wave. There were enough bath towels including pool towels, and the bathroom amenities were very nice.
Our hostess, Antonella, explained everything very well and gave us many suggestions for things to do and restaurants to try out. When we had a problem with a hair dryer, she immediately got back to us and replaced it in an hour.
It was always on my bucket list to stay in a trullo and this 1 week stay in Puglia went way beyond my expectations. I would come back and stay here again in a instant.
