  • Great place near Genoa
    4 of 5

Convenient location for visiting Genoa and coastal towns by train or by car (very near the autostrada) while being away from city noise and crowds. Very comfortable, well organized apartment with everything you need in the kitchen. The hosts couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, even taking us to the train station when I expressed concern about finding parking there. They also provided everything you might need for a "first breakfast" (actually, more like a week of breakfasts.) Steve and Elisabetta were completely available for any questions but totally non intrusive. Both are Genovese and know the area well and can provide information on local sights and activities. There is also a well organized booklet of information in the apartment. The nearby town of Busalla is a few minutes a way for any shopping, dining, etc. We stayed a week and were very happy with our stay. A very minor negative and reason for only 4 instead of 5 stars is that because the apartment is on the ground floor of the house where the hosts and their children live, there is some unavoidable noise of a family above.....a very quiet family to be sure. I would happily return to Alta Via Relax if I come to this area again!

  • Sweet, cozy farmhouse getaway

This house is situated off the beaten track and very convenient for hiking in the stunning Parco di Monte Antola. Jackie and Laura go out of their way to be available to make your stay go smoothly. The bedrooms are quite comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the rooftop terrace is ideal for beautiful sunrise breakfasts and evening stargazing alike. The road in is long and narrow at times, but the locals are very accommodating and willing to share the road.
