We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint, coverted farmhouse overlooking Lake Como and Varenna. The parking is underneath and quite safe. Key pad to enter is on the left of the driveway. The apartment has fantastic panoramic views from the large wondow. Depiste the large windows, I was not cold during our stay (March). There is a small grocery nearby. The apartment has a good, hot shower and plenty of space. Others have commented on sparse furnishings and small TV, however, I did not feel that you needed to have a TV at all. The beds were adequate (not luxurious, but certainly not uncomfortable) and the sheets were very good. The kitchen is stocked with enough dishes and pans to cook small meals if you want. Our biggest complaint is no laundry (which we knew) and WiFi was a little slow. Some websites (like ESPN, epicurious) were blocked for no apparent reason. We saw two cats and yes, they tried to get in the apartment, but were easily deterred. I can see how this might be frustrating in the summer if you had the doors open. We did not use the pool, but it looked lovely and well kept. Luciana was good at communicating with us. I would recommend staying here, since the views were so fantastic and the apartment was very comfortable.
We strayed in the RED apartment and the view from the balcony and the unit was stunning. The apartment is clean and simply furnished with lovely natural materials (Stone and exposed wood beams). The kitchen is basic, but has what you need. Be sure to bring you groceries as there are not shops/restaurants nearby. You will need a car to make your way back to Varenna (via curvy mountain roads) for dinners. If you just want to relax and soak in the view, this is your place. We also wandered the streets and found the MOBILE market (food truck with groceries) which was fun. So peaceful and beautiful. The church bells (right above you) are memorable and charming as well. Great place!
