  • Beautiful, Secluded Cabins Right on the Ocean
    5 of 5

We absolutely loved these cabins! Both cabins have beautiful views of the ocean right at the backyard. Large walls of windows and large decks at the back of both cabins take full advantage of the amazing views. The cabins are extremely secluded and quiet, surrounded by a beautiful wooded forest, perfect for a private and restful vacation. The rocky beaches provide ample opportunity for climbing and rock hunting, or you can go for a hike in the woods. You can also watch working lobster boats go by throughout the day. Drive about an hour north to visit Quoddy Head State Park and Campobello Island, or an hour south for Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Cell reception is spotty given the rural location, but the signal was good near the water and the cabins have landlines and WiFi for use as well. Satellite internet was slow but adequate for internet browsing and video streaming, although the signal was occasionally disrupted by rain. Low but adequate water pressure, which is common for the area. Washer and dryer conveniently located in both cabins. Owners John and Barbara were incredibly kind and welcoming and immediately responsive to any questions or issues. All in all the perfect spot to enjoy "Down East" Maine. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, secluded cabin in the woods on the ocean.

  • Perfect Idyllic Location

The property is a truly amazing place to relax. The panoramic views from the surround of floor to ceiling windows is spellbinding. Each minute the scenery changes and whether outside on the deck or curled up with a book inside listening to the lapping of the water, one cannot help but be in awe. We have stayed in many rentals both in this country and abroad, but this one captured us totally. The home is well equipped for cooking and the gas grill is in very good condition. The decor in the home is wonderful and everywhere one glances, there are many cute interesting pieces. The beach accessed from the home is peaceful and unique, but be prepared to climb over boulders. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the bed pillows. If new ones could be purchased and washed frequently, that would be perfect! Luckily my wife always travels with lavender oil. The current pillows are very flat and hard and have stains on them that do not smell clean. Close enough to travel to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, but remote enough for solitude and regenerating one's spirit.
