  • We really love the view! This cozy cottage had many great perks!

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage overlooking the Little Hudson River, it was convenient to Gore Mountain, 20 minutes away. The location is private, the view spectacular! We could have stayed longer just for the sense of being suspended in nature! There is not much to do outside of the Glen here unless you wish to take a short drive to Warrensburg or North Creek. I advise that you plan your trip and groceries and come prepared as a good market and other provisions are a good distance down the road. A recent plumbing issue left the cottage with an odor that we needed to contact the property manager about. They responded to our concerns. If you have Verizon for your cellular carrier, there is no connectivity north of Warrensburg. The WiFi in the cottage was also spotty. We had a great time over-all and would recommend this place! One suggestion we have would be to gravel the parking pad to minimize mud on feet! Thank you!

  • Enjoyed it for the 3rd time just as much as we did on our first stay!

We are 3 couples that have been friends for over 25 years. We have enjoyed spending a long weekend here at Sugar Hill. It is close to many snowshoe hiking options and the hamlet of Schroon Lake for groceries, etc. We cook tasty meals and totally enjoy sitting around the fireplace enjoying great conversations. We have always found the cabin clean and comfortable with the kitchen well stocked and large enough for our cooking needs and seating space at the table. Aside from having to bring our own sheets for the beds and towels for bathing, dish towels / dish cloth and dish soap, we also bring extra paper towels and toilet paper just in case. Mike and Judy were quick to reply to our messages and always helpful with any questions we might have.
