Roger is a gem, & so is his cottage! It's situated in the mountains between Asheville & Boone/Blowing Rock & the ski resorts at Beech & Sugar Mountains. We were able to explore almost all of these (except Boone) during our stay! Roger was SO INCREDIBLY helpful the entire time! Before we arrived, he sent us great info about where to go during our trip, & he stopped by several times with yummy goodies in hand (mostly made by his wife or from their favorite bakery!) to treat us, get to know us, & give us local pointers that were perfect. He spoiled us so much!! The cottage is a good size for a family of 4, and the entire place was fully-stocked with all you could need. The VIEW, the waterfall outside, the deck & his beautiful land all added to the lovely stay! I only wish we'd had longer. Thank you Roger for your hospitality!! We are grateful! Summer & family

From the beginning, our host was amazing. From my first question when booking to meeting Mary at Little Bird Cabin, we felt welcome and at home. Meeting her and seeing her beautiful photographs inside the cabin were a highlight of our stay. And the property. Words cannot describe the beauty. Little Bird had everything we needed for a relaxing and romantic getaway. The surrounding property, landscape and views were serene, peaceful, beautiful and break taking. Sitting on the deck or walking to the creek just a few feet away inspired relaxation and peace. Mary's recommendations on where to dine, galleries to see, shops to visit and other nearby activities were spot on and very helpful. Our only regret was not being able to stay we will most definitely be back to enjoy this scenic and breathtaking jewel again.
