  • More than the wonderful lodging, where our hosts-Judy and Buddy Burch—They made us feel like family!

We went to Edenton for the Christmas Tour of Homes only to find out that our hosts’ home could have been on the tour; it was stunning. The actual B&B is a carriage house behind the main house consisting of a great room with vaulted ceiling, chandelier, fireplace, and beautiful traditional and antique furniture; Judy even set up a Christmas tree for us. Next came one of the most beautifully decorated bedrooms we’ve ever seen! With king size bed, beautiful linens, and even terry robes and slippers. Just off the bedroom what is a kitchenette fully equipped with everything we needed including fresh fruit, pastries, and munchies for our three day stay. Judy and Buddy served as our tour guides; they know pretty much everyone and everywhere to eat, to experience, and to have fun. They even shared the fun place that the locals call “Vinyl Night.” Guests get to pick their favorite songs off old LPs and then either sing along or lip sync it all the while “playing your “air” instrument. Trust me the locals will help you get started. But I digress. What you really need to know is that this was the most enjoyable stay at a B&B that my wife and I have ever enjoyed, and we highly recommend you not miss it. John and Elaine

This is one of our most enjoyable yearly traditions- staying here for Edenton’s Christmas open house.
