  • Beautifully restored cottage in historic Ghent
    4 of 5

The cottage was beautiful and excellently restored. The Ghent neighborhood is a walkable three streets with lots of friendly people, and in the summer if you look like you could use it, you might be invited up to the porch for a wine. You are close to downtown and the walk will take you right past the historic first capitol of NC, the Tyron Palace. Make sure to visit the History Center and walk the harbor walk to the park. Lots to see and do downtown including the old time MItchell Hardware. Rebuilding after the flood of last year is gongoing and some of the houses in the downtown historic district are still under repair. Back at the cottage spend some time on the screened porch and watch the day fade away.

AWESOME! Very clean. Guesthouse situated on 40 acres along with the main house and cattle. Balcony off the master bedroom is wonderful for relaxing with wine and cheese. Thankful our pugs were able to enjoy the surroundings with us during our walk on the trail around the property. Absolutely the best; you can't go wrong renting this guesthouse.
