  • A special comfy, clean, special cabin in the mountains.

A great location with easy access, no mountain climbing with 4 wheel drive. Just a short drive to Bryson City, Dillsboro, Sylva, Cherokee and elk watching ( we watched 39 elk one afternoon next to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center down 441). Day trips to Maggie Valley, Cashiers, Highlands and Franklin easily completed and filled with great views, waterfalls, crafts and eateries. The cabin is so perfect, great floorpan with big master bedroom with stand up shower, plenty of closet and storage. Nice living room area with gas fireplace and big TV and plenty of cable channels. Kitchen had everything we needed and more, very update and clean. ( Two coffee makers !) Front porch extends across the entire front of cabin with hugh hot tub that really makes old sore muscle happy after a long day of trail blazing or climbing. Just a special comfy cabin in a great location. Thanks to the owner for information and advise, Greg was always available to answer questions and provide instruction when needed. His communication and rapport was much appreciated. Thank you Greg for the Christmas decoration of the cabin, it just magnified the atmosphere of our Christmas vacation!!! After coming to the mountains ( 5 times this year ) for over a decade, The Climbing Bear Creekside Cabin is THE BEST. We will be back. Stephen & Carolyn Sharpsburg, GA

The cabin and site are perfect for two people. We enjoyed the look and feel of the place. I wish we would have stayed for one more night, but there is always next time.
