This cottage is a gem. The views from inside the cottage are of water, rocks, and trees. Outside on the deck the view is even better. This is far enough from town that it is not hooked up to municipal water. Because of this the owners have a rainwater system for the running water. The toilet, sinks, shower and even a washing machine work well here. Just don't drink it as it is not quite fit for drinking. Other amenities include WiFi that does work well and a good selection of sturdy furniture.
The ride out to the cottage takes you on one of the 1lane roads out to the island. After you cross the arched bridge you are there. I almost forgot to mention that the views from the roads are great too.
As an American I found that the people in the area were very friendly to me. With few exceptions people here spoke very good english and often seemed to enjoy the novelty of my american english. The town has a couple of restaurants that were ok, but the grocery store was more than adequate.
I am not sure if or when I will ever visit Norway again, but if I do I want to stay here again. This is my first VRBO experience and it won't be my last.
