  • Practically centrally located in Poconos!

Great Pocono location! Every place we wanted to see was within an hour's drive- Jim Thorpe, Bushkill Falls, Raymondskill Falls, Milford, Mt.Airy Casino, horse back riding, etc. Massages run affordable at the Wellness center in Jim Thorpe in comparison to others. The house was great for the two of us. Walmart is nearby, Dollar General, a grocery store all within 30 min. Very well stocked place for your needs and clean. I recommend bringing your own wash cloths (has few) and small toaster (they have a neat one but it was smarter than us lol). Shower and sink has great water pressure. Great washer/dryer! If I had a large group, I wouldn't use the basement bed but rather take an air bed for upstairs. I say this because the basement smells damp until heated and is fine for hanging out in awhile but I wouldn't sleep there. Some may be fine with it though. The basement has a lot for kids to do and we just loved playing ping pong!! There is no live t.v. but we enjoyed catching up on our Brown's news through the clips we could get on there. We stayed a week and there were so many sights to take in, we didn't utilize the back yard, fire place, or lake passes this trip, but it all looks nice and we saw deer a couple of times and a rabbit! I highly recommend the bbq meatloaf sandwhich or platter meal at Barley Creek Brewery! The Jubilee restaurant has a wonderful breakfast menu and both of these places are so cozy, clean, and interesting on the inside as well as close to this house! I learned you can take a 2 hour bus ride into NYC if you want from Milford (has neat furniture/decor/craft shopping), buses run 5 times per day - a wonderful shop owner in Milford shared with us!. If you are a bike rider, April-November accept for October, you can put your bike (rent one for $10) on the train for only $5 and it will transport you either 8 miles or 26 miles (your choice) and you can ride the bike trail back into Jim Thorpe. It is a beautiful little town with Inns, hotels, shops, mansion tours, restaurants, bars, massage, shopping, train, all within walking distance of one another. You park in a huge parking lot next to the town, $5 for the day. Coal mine tour w/in 20 min driving or so of Jim Thorpe. Beds are just okay in comfort, not 5 star but to be expected for the awesome rate! Cleaning supplies around, put up if kids. Trash/recycle drop off isn't open daily. We left prior to 9 am Sat.so just brought it home. Overall, excellent place and value, may go back!!

We had a great weekend to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing. Sally seems to make sure everything is provided so that her guests can have a pleasant and carefree time. The weather was a little cooler this weekend and the fireplace was perfect. Thank you Sally!
