Joao Pedro was a gracious host whose family history contributed to the overall experience in the Duoro countryside. His families tawny port was delightful, thank you Joao! The villa is very spacious and can boast of lovely antique farmhouse furniture that is comfortable and gives you that authentic romantic villa experience. The grounds are immaculate. Truly beautiful. Joao Pedro is thorough in providing you with a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Quaint & historic

We appreciated the welcome basket of fresh fruit & nice selection of wine. The owner was very accommodating, but communication was difficult because of the language barrier. The home itself was the owners childhood home. It was on 3 stories & beautifully up-dated with wonderful art work & antiques throughout. The 3rd story gave wonderful views of town & countyside. Access was difficult from parking lot to house with approx 700 steps up a steep, narrow incline with rough cobblestone, making the luggage trip a little laborious.
