The house is conveniently located, walking distance from the rail station, bus depot, supermarkets, restaurants and the waterfront. It seems to be a recent rebuild using high end materials and is completely equipped with the latest appliances. The owner kindly left the appliance instruction manuals (mostly in French) which we found necessary. Parking in the vicinity is at a premium and so we did not rent a car except for a three day excursion to Evora and Sagres towards the end of our stay. We stayed for a month and found, that for us, it was just too long to spend in a house spread over three floors. The kitchen and living/dining room are on the main floor but the lovely terrace is on the third so if you wanted to have a meal or even drinks on the terrace you had to maneuver trays up and down circular stairs. The living/dining room is small. As the house faces north, the sitting area is gloomy and the only lighting are wall sconces with harsh white L.E.D. lighting.
Property is outside Tavira; situated on a hillside with a very nice view of surrounding country side. Location is perfect for exploring the Algarve or just relaxing by the pool. Tavira and surrounding area is close by for many nice restaurants. Villa is very comfortable. We stayed at the Villa in late October 2018. The weather was a little cooler (+/- 20°C) but still nice and suited us quite well. There were still lots of people about in the Algarve but it was not crazy busy. We thought it was a good time for a visit.
