  • Superb Destination and Finca.

The Finca in Banyalbufar is a magnificent home. It's much larger than it appears in the pictures and is located on the edge of the village with fabulous views of the Mediterranean Sea and Tramuntana Mountains in which it's cradled. The house actually feels like a small castle with a huge living area and many terraces. A castle with a avantgarde vibe. Several interesting contemporary paintings enliven the interior making it very much of the moment. The bedrooms and bathrooms are to a comfortably high standard. I slept in what was effectively a suite with large bedroom a dressing room, bathroom and it's own terrace. Antique beds with modern mattresses worked well. The kitchen has a gas range and is well equipped. You need a torch but the walk to the village is only 5 minutes and there are some nice places to eat. We tried two of them,1661, was the best. Palma is easy to get to, 40 minutes, Esporles is a halfway point and we ate in the excellent Es Brollador. Overall an superb destination.

  • Great location & amazing views!

The house is good - very practical, clean and everything worked (WiFi, washing machine). It is though the location and the view that makes this house really special. There are lovely outside sitting areas, and it is such a peaceful place to be, gazing at the sea. It is about 5 minutes to walk to the village (several bars & restaurants) and maybe 15 mins to walk down to the sea. The drive up to the house is narrow, bit scary the first time and then absolutely fine - though I would recommend a smallish hire car! The house is directly on the GR221 walking route, and there is a lot of excellent hiking in the area. Fernando was a great host, always quick to respond to questions. Thoroughly recommend this house - we would definitely come back again.
