Concepcion is a great apartment in Madrid.
The apartment is well-located, is in great shape, has a nice layout, and is well worth the price to rent.
It is located within a short walk (3-5 minutes) to the metro, is along a city bus route, is a block away from a wonderful neighborhood park, has numerous grocery/ fruit/ vegetable stores nearby, has many neighborhood bar restaurants, and of course has panaderias/ pastelerias (bread/ pastry) throughout the neighborhood. The building is quiet, and so is the neighborhood.
The apartment has a nice layout, with two bedrooms, a full bath, foyer/ entry way, and kitchen/ living space combination. One neat feature is a door that closes off the kitchen/ living space from the rest of the apartment. We used this to keep noises (the TV, the dishwasher) from disturbing someone sleeping in the bedroom, plus it was a good way to close off the section so the air conditioner needed to cool only the space needed (kitchen/ living). The apartment is also in great shape, and looks new. It has two air conditioning units, one in the kitchen/ living space and one in the larger bedroom. During our stay in Madrid it was very warm, and the AC worked very well; at one point, we opened all the interior doors in the apartment and the two AC units did a good job keeping the whole apartment cool.
It is located up on the 4th floor (for US residents, that actually means the 5th floor, since buildings number the ground floor 0 (zero)), and the building is quiet from both street noises as well as other residents.
We highly recommend a stay in Concepcion. It is a great apartment in a neat neighborhood, and is priced well.
When I travel overseas, even for business, I try to avoid staying in a hotel. The neighborhood for this property is a lovely, family-oriented place with lots of eateries, several good patisseries, and very good Metro connections. The apartment itself is quite comfy and I'll return again the next time i have a meeting at the Feria.
