  • Beautiful, spacious villa with a stunning view over the Mediterranean and everything you need!

Really can't say enough about our stay in Salobrena! The communication with the owners David and Debbie and our hosts who checked us in and took care of us, Liz and Barry, could not have been easier or more pleasant. Liz even went so far as to pre-stock the refrigerator with a few staple groceries for us ahead of time as we arrived Sunday afternoon when the stores were closed. The listing was 100% accurate and the property is exactly as pictured. Everything was in immaculate shape and the villa has everything that you need for a relaxing stay. Although we were told that the "season" really doesn't end until November, there were very few crowds anywhere and we felt like we almost had the whole "urbanization" or subdivision to ourselves. We stayed the end of September/first week of October and the weather was excellent. Cool mornings and evenings for enjoying breakfast or tapas on the patios and warm sun for relaxing by the pool on the very private pool deck. The pool was still very swimmable even at the end of our stay and would probably stay that way for a few more weeks. My wife and I basically only used the top floor and the master bedroom suite and had more than enough room. The villa is set up with more bedrooms and an entire extra kitchen downstairs, so the property would be perfect for large families or multiple couples as well. We rented a car at the train station in Malaga and drove to Salobrena, it took us approximately 45 minutes or so. I definitely recommend having a car, there is enough parking space at the villa for up to three vehicles if necessary. There are multiple groceries, restaurants and pharmacies in town within a 5-10 minute drive and you can get whatever you need. We ate out three nights and went shopping and cooked dinner for ourselves the remaining nights, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, glassware and cookware. Day trips to Nerja, Frigiliana or to see the Alhambra in Granada are an easy drive of less than an hour and you can also walk through the "old town" and visit the castle right in downtown Salobrena. Liz and Barry gave us great tips regarding Alhambra tickets, etc. and had a nice book for us full of local knowledge on beaches, restaurants, etc. On the whole, the experience could not have been better. Fantastic views and relaxation with everything you need closer than 10 minutes away and a terrific owner/host team! Rent with confidence and enjoy!!

  • Beautiful home in Salobreña

We loved our stay at in Salobreña! Bettina was an amazing host. She met us just outside the town and rode up with us, which made getting there easy! The home had everything we needed, including milk, juice and coffee so that we didn’t have to go to the grocery store right away. The views from the roof are spectacular, and the small plaza just outside the door is charming. The walk to the beach was about 15 min, and we always stopped for leche rizada before the walk back up the hill. :-) If you have kids, be sure to check out Aquatropic, the water park in Almuñécar. It was a hit with our two! Thank you, Bettina, for a wonderful stay!
