  • A restful and charming respite for a traveler

The dogs, horses, artwork and rural atmosphere all made this a very memorable stay. The kitchen is well appointed and Miki provided a nice stock of groceries to start out with: coffee, tea, milk, bread, eggs, cheese and wine. The bed is comfortable, everything clean, well lit and heated for winter. The view is peaceful and nice walks can be made morning and evening along the country lanes. It was a much appreciated break from seeing the cities of Spain and Portugal. Our favorite stay in the whole 3 week trip.

  • Gorgeous and expansive terrace views, charming house

Casa Romero is exceptional. The house is equipped with everything you need, and it feels like a real home with comfortable places to sit, lots of books and DVDs, art and photographs on the walls, and a verdant garden filled with flowers in summer. Every appliance is up to date and works well. Rosie was so easy to communicate with, always answering questions promptly and clearly. Plus she left a book full of recommendations for the area, including some great tips on hiking in the mountains which we wouldn't have gotten in a guide book. The house is charming and romantic with many levels, terraces and an unbeatable view! The moment we arrived we began scheming when and how we could return to Casa Romero. Thank you, Rosie!
