Staying at Finca Amorosa after touring Spain for two weeks was the perfect place for our family to gather before heading home. The house easily accommodated nine adults with everyone having their own bedroom with a nice tiled bathroom, towels, bath robes and hair dryer. After eating out the first two weeks the large, well stocked kitchen encouraged everyone to participate in dinner preparation. And the spacious patio invited us to gather for family dinners and star gazing. At the last minute the host made reservations at a local, small restaurant for the entire family, after a day trip to the Alahambra. We were graciously recieved by the staff and the meal was very good. Whether you wanted to relax by the pool, absorb the scenery or adventure on day trips the farmhouse became our safe haven for a week. On our day of departure the road was closed due to construction and the host met us very early in the morning to guide us through the back roads, in the dark, to make sure we continued a safe journey home.

We spent a very peaceful two weeks at El Trigal in June with fabulous weather. We had a few trips out to Medina el Azahar (Córdoba), Fuente de Piedra, Antequera and, our favourite, El Torcal. El Trigal is a comfortable home and remains cool inside when it's hot outside. We stayed here 5 years ago and the new owners have made some very good improvements. Only criticism would be with regard to the plumbing in the main bathroom as there was no way of holding the shower head to the wall and an issue with hot water reaching the tap in the wash basin. However the en-suite was fine. Unfortunately we found the pool too cold to use very much despite the hot weather. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave.
