I stayed at this cottage my first two nights of a 2-week trip to Sweden. The cottage has a bunk bed, WC with shower, full kitchen with stove/oven/microwave/fridge. No WiFi or washing machine, but since I was only staying 2 nights, I was able to manage without.
I enjoyed laying on the hammock in the backyard amongst huge trees. It was so relaxing to hear the wind lightly blow through the trees and make them sway a bit, and to hear birds chirping.
One recommendation I have to improve this rental is to add black-out curtains in the bedroom. With the “midnight sun”, the room was bright enough at 2 am to make me think it was already time to wake up in the morning (there was literally 1 hour of “night” when I stayed there ... literally less than 1 hour between “last light” at 12:41 am, and “first light” at 01:20 am). Since I was so exhausted from 31 hours of traveling from the States to Sweden, I was able to sleep all the way through the first night. On the second night, the light did wake me up for about an hour between 2-3 am.
The rental was clean and in very nice condition. The setting is very quiet, which makes a nice relaxing getaway from it all.
My wife and I spent a week there in autumn and there was no one renting the bigger house next-door, so we had a lot of privacy and peace.
The property is very well-equipped and well-maintained and the descriptions and pictures are trustworthy. The cottage was clean and the owners were helpful in the 2 times we required their help.
You obviously need a car to stay there because it is 10km from Mora and there's not much around the house, just a lake and pine trees. It was already autumn so not even the kayaks were available to rent. All you can do there is rest or go for a run around the lake.
The cottage is small, just enough for one couple. But it is very cosy. The living room was a bit dark and I hope the owners will put a lamp there, so that guests can read in the sofa.
All in all, a very pleasant experience, even if we didn't go at the best time of the year.
