  • Gorgeous view!

The property was very high up a winding road so we had a magnificent view! Lovely, clean facilities with a great deck and living room. We were very pleased other than the slanting roofs in the bedroom (and a broken curtain that let the light in)- a little claustrophobic for our tall men. We would stay there again, and the village is true Swiss, not a tourist trap!

  • Great, tranquil spot with a majestic view of Alps

Lovely, spotlessly clean apartment with a majestic panoramic view on Bernese Oberland, with the Wildstrubel Glacier in the middle, right in front of you and the picturesque village of Lenk below. In addition to sleeping accommodations inside the apartment sufficient for 4 guests, there are two sofas on the balcony which we used for sleep during the entire stay (beginning of August). It was an unforgettable, fairy-tale experience to see the snowy peaks and greenish slopes first thing upon waking up. The apartment is located in a chalet with two more apartments, the entrance door is behind the house. The kitchen is well-equipped and has an induction stove which we had to learn how to use. It would be helpful to have instructions in English on using this and some other gadgets around the house for guests who don't read German. A special note on getting there. The chalet is located on the mountain high above the village. Hence the tranquility and the beauty of this spot. It can be reached from downtown Lenk by a bus which runs about every 15 minutes or so. If you plan to drive, as we did, be prepared for an 8-10 minutes of driving up a windy and very narrow Bühlbergstrasse. Make sure you understand Swiss rules on the right of way in the mountains.
