  • Comfortable, relaxing accomodation in a lovely setting

For us, the five weeks we spent here were very enjoyable, particularly the rural garden setting and the bird life. The old village is historically interesting and charming with a great pub within two minutes walk. The cottage is nicely decorated, well equipped and maintained. The owners are readily available by phone and helpful. We highly recommend this property and hope to return soon.

We have holidayed in Cornwall many times but Rooftops is probably one of the best places we have stayed in. Our host was friendly and welcoming when we arrived and provided us with a complimentary cream tea which was very welcome after our long journey. The accommodation on two levels was spotless and suited our needs perfectly. The garden is well maintained, private, safe and secure with a patio which catches the afternoon sun. The village of Stratton, where Rooftops is located, is delightful with two good local pubs in walking distance provided excellent food and drink and there is also a local village shop which stocks most essentials. We picked up a leaflet which had a walking tour of the village and it’s historical highlights which only took a couple of hours but was fascinating. Bude is about 10 minutes away by car and other beaches along the north coast are easily accessible. Overall a great holiday let in a great location. Highly recommended.
