  • Very convenient location in beautiful setting

We really enjoyed our stay at Field Cottage! The cottage was clean and comfortable and well suited for a family of 5. We had a wonderful time wandering through the village and exploring all the beautiful architecture and shops. It was also very easy to get to area attractions like Holkham and the beaches on the bus that runs frequently through the center of the village. It was a fun relaxing break before heading to London!

  • Quiet rural family getaway

My family of 4 (kids ages 8 and 11) visited from the San Francisco Bay Area and greatly enjoyed our time at Corrie’s Cottage and in Little Walsingham. Little Walsingham is very convenient to Sandringham, Holkham, Houghton Hall, Burnham Market, Wells-Next-the-Sea, and the beaches. The cottage was a great home base for exploring these areas and in hindsight, I wish we had spent more time there to explore the beautiful landscape, charming towns, and incredible manor homes. Although the cottage is attached to other units, the cottage is incredibly sound-proof and quiet. The Old Vicarage property where the cottage is located is very authentic and bucolic. Cottage is very, very clean and the beds are very comfortable and luxurious. Kids rooms are beach-themed and very sweet with windows overlooking the walled garden. Bathrooms also very clean and spacious. US visitors should plan to do laundry early in their stay, as there is a washing machine but no clothes dryer (we are finding this to be rather common as we travel around England) and clothes took 24 hours to dry. Kids could easily explore the gardens and surrounding area. Very short walk to town with restaurants (we loved The Black Lion). The welcome hamper with bread, butter, milk, cheese, biscuits, etc., was a very nice touch and very useful. Bring your own ground coffee for the coffee maker unless you are fine with instant coffee that is provided.
