  • Lovely seaside days

The photos don't capture what beautiful views await from the patio. To walk out onto that terrace every morning with cup of coffee in hand was hard to beat. We could've stayed in that spot happily but the island offers much worth exploring. And you only need start on the coastal path in front of the house and in minutes you are overlooking the Irish Sea with sheep grazing around you. It is idyllic. The house is an attached house in a row of three, and is clean and well-equipped. The master bedroom is the best room in the house as you can watch the sky change colors and listen to the gulls. Management company was responsive for any minor trouble shooting. Our kids loved that the house fronted the slip where all the boaters came in and out. Plenty of activity to watch in the otherwise quiet community of Bull Bay. We had beautiful weather all week but swimming in the Bay is not too appealing; however, plenty of lovely beaches nearby. You'll need to take the car for any shopping or dining but its an easy place to get around. There is a Waitrose when you come onto the island taking Menai Bridge, to buy the bulk of what you need; we found Hooten's Farm Shop for truly local produce and meats plus prepared foods. Our guys loved a track day at Anglesey Circuit. Enjoyed a day trip to Caernarfon, Beaumaris was beautiful and one of our favorite stops. Moelfre (go to Ann's Pantry) was quaint and full of charm. In essence, we felt transported and truly relaxed in this beautiful spot.

  • A peaceful retreat

The apartment lived up to it's billing. The description didn't do it justice as it was a perfect location with stunning views of the sea, North Welsh hills and the surrounding countryside supported too many birds to name, red squirrels galore and other unidentified wildlife. The apartment itself was clean, well appointed and very comfortable to be in. All appliances are of good quality and the heating, necessary for this time of year, very efficient. Both lounge area and bedroom are extremely comfortable and made us feel that we could have stayed a little longer. Catherine and her husband made us very welcome and were helpful in providing useful information on places to visit, places to eat etc. We look forward to revisiting TYDDYN MAWR, maybe at a different time of the year.
