  • Wonderful Cotswold Cottage

This gem is tucked behind the houses on the street, which makes it private and quiet. Just look sharp for the modest sign on the street leading to the back of the property. Immaculate, spacious, lots of light and modern conveniences! Very quick walk to the grocery store. Enjoyed our dinner the first night at the Mousetrap Inn. Perfectly located for a walk on the public footpaths to the lovely towns of Upper and Lower Slaughter, and within driving distance to many other charming Cotswold towns. Loved it and would stay here again without hesitation!

  • Charming and Perfect!

My daughter and I decided to explore the English countryside and chose Bourton on the Water as a 'base'. The Captains Cabin was delightful. Spotlessly clean and very welcoming. Our beds welcomed us at the end of long days exploring after nice hot soak in the tub. We did several long day trips and then cooked in and had a fire! Perfectly situated to walk into the village for an early morning pastry but so quiet you'd never know the village was there! We would recommend this property wholeheartedly. The stairs were steep but did not hinder. I can't thank the hosts enough for a perfectly lovely stay. I travelled from Hawaii and my daughter from New York.
