The house was excellently resourced with everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The rooms were quite spacious and the kitchen, beds and bathrooms excellent. We enjoyed the wood fire as it was quite cold while we were there. The major complaint was that the heat in the radiators turned off in the night so it got quite cold in the house in late November. We did call the local person who said she would get that corrected (the controls were behind a locked door so we could not adjust the time heat was on - just the level of heat) but it didn't seem to make any difference as the heat went off during a portion of the night for the duration of our stay. Also the TV worked for one evening but I couldn't get it to work after that. After the experience with the heat we didn't think it worth asking for help with the TV. So overall the house was just great but if you stay in the winter make sure you have the heat assured throughout the night and that the TV is working.
We stayed for a week at the beginning of October and it was great. The property was easy to find and the instructions were very clear. The house itself was spotless and had the essentials for a week away (although weirdly no wooden spoons). The bathrooms are superb - especially the shower although with no blinds or curtains upstairs you are a little bit on show to the neighbours. The driveway takes a bit of getting used to as it's quite steep and you need to reverse up - but we got the hang of it after a while.
There's a superb outside shower for taking your wetsuit off after the sea and a rail for hanging it up to dry. A very useful touch.
The bedrooms are a decent size with good storage but the beds are tiny - I'm pretty sure they're smaller than a standard double. Sleeping was tricky as there was almost no wiggle room so you're constantly kneeing your partner in the leg and vice versa. That was the only downside to an otherwise superb week.
I would definitely stay there again but this time would sleep in separate rooms to guarantee a good night's sleep.
