We stayed for 5 nights. The accommodations are rustic and we knew that going in. The towns people were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the end of October, the beach wasn't as pictured as October is the time of year for waves so lots of sand churning and lots of seaweed on the beach. The towns people told us that the ocean is calm starting in May..... so we'll be back for blue water and local fishing. One thing to note if you see street food that you are interested in GET IT IMMEDIATELY, when you return a bit later they'll probably be out of it!! Did that a few times..... there's a limited supply get it as soon as you see it. We don't speak spanish but didn't have any problems, they usually took us back to the kitchen to show us what they had and we selected what we wanted. There's plenty of variety for food in addition to the "restaurants" we usually ate from little places with a chair or two outside around a card table, I would say there are a dozen or more places like that. We stopped a few times, in the small villages for food, as we drove from Cancun. Magally was attentive and checked on us every day. It would be nice to have more bath towels, I wouldn't typically use a single towel for 5 days and most days I took multiple showers.
