Perfect location for a relaxed vacation

Pictures does not do justice to Virginie and Herve's gite. The place is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook and enjoy your meals. Beds are comfortable and linens are of excellent quality. We spent six nights at the gite and we loved every minute of our stay. Virginie and Herve were available to answer any questions and they are a wonderful and friendly couple. They were very generous offering their bikes, which we used to ride around. The location is superb and we were a short drive from places we wanted to visit. An A+ experience.

Perfection!

After spending 5 glorious days in Paris, we decided to spend the remaining 4 days of our vacation in the Loire Valley at this beautiful cottage. It was the best decision we could've made! We were warmly greeted by Virginie and Herve and they were available if we needed anything during our stay. The cottage is well appointed, cozy, clean, and very comfortable. There were roses on the table and a bottle of wine for us in the refrigerator. Such a nice, unexpected surprise. We were able to buy groceries at a nearby market and cooked dinner on two of our night's stay. We ate outside at the picnic table and enjoyed the gardens and pool area. There are also many wonderful restaurants nearby, so if you don't want to cook, that's not a problem. It was a bit chilly to swim on most days, but we did take advantage of the heated pool one sunny evening and it was heavenly. Also, we could not get enough of the sweet scent of honeysuckle and roses which grow around the garden. The location of this cottage is perfect for taking day trips to some of the vineyards and chateaus, which we did. The scenery in the Loire Valley is breathtaking. But it's also perfect if you just want a place to relax and rejuvenate for a few days. The neighborhood is quiet and very charming. A perfect place to take a nice bike ride or go for a long walk. I truly hated to leave.

Beautiful home

Very clean and comfortable home, extremely well equipped kitchen. Never used the pool because of weather but would be lovely to sit around and relax. Quite location, yet close enough to see Castles and Chateau's. Our hosts were lovely, they left a beautiful bouquet of flower and a bottle of champagne to welcome us. Highly recommend this home.

Modern and clean rental

We were so impressed with this rental, the kitchen is very well equipped with anything you will need to cook, beds are comfortable and it was helpful to have use of the washing machine. The listing was absolutely accurate in description of property. Our thanks to Virginie and Herve for their hospitality. Herve took us to a private wine tasting which we very much enjoyed. My grandson enjoyed the lovely pool, it was refreshing after a long day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this property.

Excellent séjour

Logement confortable et très bien équipé, Virginie et Hervé ont un vrai sens de l'accueil qui va bien au delà d'un simple échange locataire-loueur... Les environs sont riches d'histoire : Châteaux de Rivau, Chinon, Azay le Rideau, Langeais.. Mais aussi de vignobles et de caves.. Aussi, il nous faudra passer plus d'un week-end chez Virginie et Hervé pour visiter la région et apprécier tout ce qu'offre leur gîte.
