Enjoy the abundance of Colorado's wonderful wildlife. Don't miss your favorite shows while on vacation; cuddle up to watch a great movie in the loft upstairs. Use the propane BBQ grill to cook on the front deck while enjoying the mountain view and relaxing during cool summer evenings. In the winter, cozy up to the pellet stove and enjoy the wonderful smell of natural wood pellets and the comfort of the fire. Fishing nearby in Manitou Lake or Gold Medal fishing in Platte River for rainbow trout.
The upstairs, large master bedroom has a king bed and a spacious master bathroom complete with a walk-in shower. There are two bedrooms on the main floor. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a queen-size bed which is also connected to the main floor bathroom. Bedroom 3 is located next to bedroom 2 also furnished with a queen-size bed. Sattelite TV and internet are included. WiFi calls only in this area.
The lake across from the home is a private lake. You may walk around the lake and enjoy its beauty, but the guests may not use the lake for swimming, fishing, boating, or any other water use. There is fishing just minutes down the road in either Manitou Lake or the other direction in the North and South Platte rivers.
Nearby Shopping can be found in Woodland Park, about 10 miles south of the home including City Market, Walmart, liquor stores, breweries, fast food restaurants as well as many excellent sit-down restaurants, and unique small-town shops/boutiques, and much more.

Wonderful Mountain Home
First I have to say the owners were very easy to work with. Initially we booked this location because they allowed us to bring our dogs and proximity to Colorado Springs. After we were given the address it appeared to be located closer to Denver than Colorado Springs...but after speaking to the owners they confirmed that was incorrect. It is just a few minutes north of Woodland Park which is also very close proximity to Colorado Springs. We wanted a mountain retreat and boy did we get it! The house is literally sitting on the side of the mountain. We visited the week of Christmas and rented a 4x4 to take with us from Texas to Colorado and I am thankful we did. It had snowed prior to our arrival and the 4x4 vehicle was needed to get into the drive way. I suspect this would not be an issue in the Summer or Fall. The neighborhood is very nice and the views of the mountains out the windows and from the patios is amazing. We easily visited Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak and many businesses in the Colorado Springs and Woodlands Park areas. The drive back to the house is filled with more joyous views! We were able to get our dogs out on leashes and walk in the snow and around the area easily. The house itself is basically 3 stories. There is an unfinished basement at the bottom, Living, kitchen, bath and 2 bed rooms on the second floor. The third floor has a nice master bedrooms, kids room/ closet, huge bath and a 2nd living room. There is just one TV in the house and it would have been nice to have more but we really were not there to watch TV. The owner had even decorated the house for Christmas with a tree and lights. We enjoyed the patios very much and there are 5+ sitting areas around the exterior of the house. The only down side was the house was not filled with many supplies. I'd recommend bringing trash bags, paper towels and any other storage (baggies or plastic you may need) as well as cleaning products you may need during your stay. I had sanitizing wipes but no windex to wipe down glass tab.es etc. The garbage was a situation for us. Owner states it comes on Thursdays and requests you put the can out, however were not there on a Thursday and the trash stations were no where near any where we were going. Thankfully we found a nice neighbor who my husband offered money to to allow us to use his can. All in all we loved the house and location and will book again.
