About Kim Moore
I am a Certified Herbalist. I grew up on the farm adjacent to my house, which I built when I was 25 years old. I operated a Preschool/daycare out of the bottom floor for nearly 30 years. I now operate a Farm Store/Herb Shop on the first level. I teach an Herbal Apprentice Program. I love the outdoors and the peace and quiet of farm life.
Kim Moore purchased this House in 1987
Why Kim Moore chose Alton
Originally from just outside of Boston, my family vacationed to Wolfeboro, and Alton as long as I can remember. We moved to Alton full time and year round when I was 13. My parents purchased the 200 acre farm when I was 15. I never wanted to leave the farm life, so I built next door.
What makes this House unique
The large Barn which is now converted to living space, was once the largest Dairy Farm in New England. It was built in the late 1700's . The fields and forest of this farm with the spectacular views are why I love it, so much.

Great communication with Kim the host and the place is clean and well maintained approx 20 minutes from Wolfeboro.
Quiet, comfortable and convenient
This was a great place to rent from start to finish! Kim was very easy to work with and was available the entire time we were there. We have been renting around the world for over 10 years and this was one of the best equipped rentals we have ever had. The pictures are very accurate. It is above a country store (very convenient!!) that is only open in the middle of the day. The fresh eggs, muffins and fudge were delicious. Wonderful homemade soap by Kim too! The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. Bed was comfortable. There is a slight walk uphill and stairs to the entrance which might make it challenging for anyone with physical limitations.
The porch was nice until the mosquitos came in the evening. The sheep grazing on the lawn in the morning were a lot of fun! Very convenient to a lot of places in the lakes region and just a few minutes to the grocery store.
Thank you Kim!
Perfect for what we were looking for.
Grounds are lovely and Kim is warm and friendly. We needed a spot where we could park our truck and boat trailer and it was perfect.
Great spot to unwind and very close to the lake.
I really enjoyed staying here at the Moore Farm. My only regret is not exploring the property more. I can’t wait to go back!
Located in the beautiful Lakes Region of NH. Situated in the Mountains. Close to activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, skiing, horseback riding, boating, all within 15 minute drive.
