About Victoria Stewart
My husband Bill and I, as owners of a Mexican restaurant in Seattle, WA, traveled yearly to this magical latin country for inspiration. We fell in love with the beauty and culture and decided to make this charming Mexican fishing village our permanent home. We own a mango orchard now, harvesting, dehydrating them. We decided this winter to rent our home in Aticama to reduce travel distance to the Vallarta area where we sell at farmer's markets.
Victoria Stewart purchased this House in 2001
Why Victoria Stewart chose Aticama
We were attracted to Aticama for its unspoiled small town feel and access to abundant natural surroundings where tropical jungle meets endless ocean views. The locals are welcoming and helpful and the area draws foreigners who are looking for a true and charming Mexican experience.
What makes this House unique
Numerous activities closeby include the Tovara boat tour up nature rich estuaries, a new state of art pier sits along 7 km Matanchen beach. Fresh seafood is abundant and found where the fishing boats come in. Old historic San Blas is a short distance away, and hosts a yearly bird festival with local expert bird guides available. A new autopista takes you on a 30 minute scenic drive through orchards to the capitol city of Tepic, Nayarit with shopping (Walmart/Home Depot) and a quaint downtown plaza where Huichols sell their handmade wares.
