Why Owner chose Irvington
I have always loved the Pacific Northwest, though my daughter, family and my business are in Phoenix. Most of my maternal family is from this area, and many relatives still live near here. My mother was born in Vancouver, WA and used to come down to the Lloyd Center to shop with her mother when she was very young. She has fond memories of this place. When she first saw this house and this neighborhood, she literally cried. I have always had a great time here. I love the neighborhood. I love my neighbors and the general vibe that Portland has. I love the people, and even the weather(most of the time) I love the fact that you can go hiking or biking in the AM, and be back in time for lunch at a great restaurant. I love that nothing looks the same, that everything is unique.
What makes this Apartment unique
I guess I could go on and on, but I really like the urban lifestyle. You can walk anywhere from the Irvington Neighborhood. The gardens and yards are just unbelievable. There are tons of great restaurants and coffee shops everywhere you turn. Portland is such a great destination in every way, and I think Irvington neighborhood is the crown jewel of it all. I have put tons of money and my heart and soul into this property, and I think and hope it shows. I hope you enjoy this house as much as I do.

Lovely Portland neighborhood
Enjoyed walking to eat at nearby restaurants & walking throughout to see many awesome homes!
Adorable home in historic area!
This is a super cute area that is extremely walkable to many areas in Portland. The apartment was very clean and well kept. Friendly neighbors and great restaurants in walking distance.
Very much enjoyed the stay. Property manager onsite very helpful with restaurant referrals. Easy access to bus and TriMet system. Free on-street parking was wonderful. Cooking and eating utensils/pans assortment one of best I've ever seen. Mattress very uncomfortable; needs replacing.
We enjoyed our stay at the Garden View Hideway. The property is located on the east side in a very nice, safe neighborhood. It's within walking distance of good restaurants, coffee shops, and a Whole Foods. The #8 bus stops right outside the door and can get you just about anywhere in Portland. If you're going to use public transportation, the Trimet website has a good trip planner and a number that can be texted to find out when the bus will be arriving at any stop. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for a couple or small family. It is a basement apartment with partial exposure and decent natural light. My wife found it to have a bit of a subterranean feel but nobody else seem bothered. If you're a very tall person, (>6'3" or so), you may feel a little cramped in spots. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Portland.
Adorable place to stay
Easy check in and there was a bottle of wine and coffee beans left for us! We walked to restaurants down the street for breakfast and dinner and it was so easy to drive around. We had a great stay in Portland and loved coming "home" to this cute apartment.
My husband, teen granddaughter, and I stayed five nights. We took a Lyft to and from the airport, but used public transportation for the rest of our adventures. The garden apartment is in a beautiful neighborhood. It’s easy to walk to the MAX, bus, and streetcar stops. Grocery stores and plenty of nice restaurants are nearby. Everything we needed was provided in the apartment. We would definitely stay again next time we are in Portland.
