For thrill seekers and fans of water sports and climbing, the gorges of the Ardèche and the Chassezac valley offer a magnificent setting in which the ark of Vallon Pont d'Arc is the postcard more known. You can also admire the mysterious Païolive Forest, the exhibition dedicated to the famous Chauvet cave, the splendours of Orgnac and its adjacent cavities.

Located 8 km from the medieval town of Joyeuse Planzolles is composed of several hamlets occupying all the slopes of the ridge road that leads to Saint Laurent les Bains and Lozère. Beautiful scenery available to the eye. We quickly seized by a feeling of peace and serenity. The scenery is guaranteed. The numerous marked trails allow hikes through the forest in the valleys or ridges. The diversity of these walks starts walking at all including toddlers. ATV and quad enthusiasts can satisfy their passions in the many paths through the region. Farmers cultivate the vine for generations. The cellar of Lablachère is very successful and provides good wines. Chestnuts are the subject of a particular cult and collection is done with care and ends with a gathering of all the villagers around a 'castagnade' (roasted chestnuts) late in the season. The location of olive grows much. The oil is extracted in neighboring villages where the mills are in full swing in the season. These mills sell olive oil and derivatives. There is also to Planzolles sheep farmers (over 200 animals) and a traditional meat producer. On the town square, a country inn welcome tourists and offers guides and information. Planzolles is a very friendly town where people are warm and welcoming. They like to meet and party (castagnade, lottery, contest Belote, St. John's Day). The traditional annual village festival takes place on August 15. It consists of a boules competition, raffle. Gastronomy and local products Ardèche: Ardèche The kitchen has drawn inspiration from rural life in this department. The eating is the watchword.
The two basic elements of the Ardèche kitchen have been for a very long chestnuts and potatoes. Chestnut gave birth firstly to excellent chestnut cream, which for decades flies the flag of the Ardèche worldwide but also to glazed chestnuts, developed from the larger sweet and candied chestnuts of department. All the villages are partying around "roasted" or castagnades.

un endroit parfait pour se détendre!
Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. La maison est bien équipée, même si l'intérieur est un peu vieillot. l'emplacement de la maison est magnifique et la vue n'est jamais ennuyeuse. Le contact avec nora a été agréable et elle a toujours été là pour nous.
