Nestled in the Florida River Valley, the Ranch sits on 60+ acres with river frontage and offers immaculate landscaping, the tranquil sounds of the river and serene views of the mountains and pines. Perfect for rest and relaxation while traveling with your family. Additional blow up Bed is available please specify and review house rules.

Enjoy Fly Fishing? Take a break and relax by the river or the pond that features a relaxing waterfall. We have done extensive work to the river to create pools for the fish. Catch & release fishing only. (Winter time makes these area more challenging to get to and outdoor furniture is stored in winter)

Located just 11 miles from downtown Durango. Enjoy the many local area sites such as the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, National Parks & Monuments, Purgatory Ski Resort, Mesa Verde and much more. Take advantage of the many nearby outdoor sporting activities available which include fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, skiing and of course horse back riding. Access many trails from the Ranch property on the BLM.

Don’t be fooled.

Apartment is not 2 bedrooms. Very uncomfortable for a family of even just 4 to try and sit to watch TV in the living room. Property was very muddy and we were unable to walk around because we didn’t have rubber boots. Property listing was not accurate.

Snow Trip

We wanted something that wasn’t in town and this place delivered. The location is far enough to enjoy the beauty of the ranch but still close enough to town as well. The place itself is very homey and felt like home. Our kids loved the ranch and views. Highly recommend!

Peaceful elegance

This is a wonderful property that my family enjoyed while leaf-peeping and enjoying other activities the San Juans have to offer. We sat out on the balcony and watch the stars and could see the Milky Way each night. The apartment itself is wonderfully appointed and decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking the property to the pond, watching the horses, and walking along the Florida River. My son loved the tree swing and frisbee golf. We highly recommend staying here, and we're already planning our return!

This property has been transformed over a 15 year period from a rundown neglected ranch (dating back to 1906) to a beautiful green working facility with orchards and hay pastures. There are several places on property to relax, enjoy watching wildlife or sit and read a book. Enjoy your morning Coffee and watch the Deer, Fox, Turkey, Blue Heron, Coyotes, birds, etc. We are on property but you have your own private space and will rarely see us. The rich history of Durango dating back to 1880's brought settlers traveling over mountain passes in covered wagons. Ancestral Pueblo peoples occupied the area near present-day Durango.

What makes this property unique

Beautifully maintained ranch with majestic sunsets and mountain views along with fishing, hiking and walking trails on or near property. Quiet location with quick access to many local attractions such as Vallecito Lake, Lemon Reservoir, hiking trails, as well all the features in town and surrounding area. We recommend visiting Mesa Verde where you can step back in time to 1500 BC.
