Great apartment in heart of Le Marais
Fantastic apartment in Heart of Le Marais. Well equipped, thoughtful touches, beautiful patio, and very comfortable. Our host, Al, greeted us in person, showed us the apartment in detail, provided very detailed and helpful information regarding the apartment, our stay and vicinity, and was easy to communicate with. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful, quiet sanctuary in the city!
Nestled in the Marais is fabulous! It is the perfect mix of a historical building with modern amenities. The location was great with access to many stores and cafes. Al was friendly and considerate. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would not hesitate to book it again. Thank you for your hospitality, Al!
Perfect in Every Way!!
“Nestled in the Marais” is a wonderful apartment. It is so well located close to the stop for bus 69 that goes almost everywhere in Paris! And it is close to the Bastille metro station, and to the Sunday morning market at La Bastille. There is a nice Monoprix nearby as well as good boulangeries fruit and vegetable markets, a poste and ATM machines. All this and it is quiet and very well appointed, as well. Al is the perfect host/owner, thoughtful, openly communicative and easily available for questions. If there is any caution, this would not be the best choice for someone who struggles with steps. Otherwise, this is an A#1 apartment. Highly recommended!
Wonderful little apartment in an amazing location! The balcony was a perfect spot for a glass of wine or morning espresso. Kitchen was great for making dinners from the local markets! Only thing missing was a full sheet/bedding set for the fold out mattress.
Lovely stay in the Marais.
This property was a wonderful find. I relied on previous reviews and was not stirred wrong: renovated in keeping with attention to preserving original architectural details, the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, and separate bedroom; it is meticulously maintained, which is appreciated when arriving from far away. There were also some goodies in the fridge upon arrival, and you have all the basics for cooking simple meals (coffees, starches, salt, pepper, and other condiments). You feel at home. Despite being off of busy Saint-Antoine, the apartment is generally quiet (there was another unit being renovated while I was there but the workers kept reasonable hours), and you have everything within reach: bakeries, bistros, wine and cheese shops (some of the best), and 2 Mk2 cinemas within 2 minutes walk, the metro within 5 minute walk. For those who like walking but also staying in some days, this is the perfect location/apartment. There were a few technical issues (a renovation in a unit above and some appliances going awry, but AL was always easy to reach and quick to respond). I stayed here solo and it was perfect but it would also be fine for a couple or small group/family (maximum 4 people). It is not wheelchair accessible but the winding stairwell is larger than most to reach the 2nd floor apartment (2 feet long -wide on one end and narrow at the other- with a rail) for those with some mobility issues. I would not hesitate to stay here again and am already plotting my return.
Great location, incredible host
I spent one week here and everything went perfectly. Al was a very accommodating host. The apartment is very nice and well situated in Le Marais near great cafes and shops. I would definitely stay here again!
Le Marais offers a lot of historic sights (Place des Vosges, 16th, 17th, 18th buildings, museums, etc.) and is also a trendy district with plenty of shops and bars and restaurants.
