What do you get when you mix luxury and location? With a touch of Tuscany, the charm of Carmel, and the sand just steps away, this dreamy beach house has it all.
The living room features wood plank floors, a rough-sawn peaked ceiling, a comfortable overstuffed sofa and chairs, a Samsung 4000k Ultra HD TV, and a large wood-burning fireplace (with gas starter) to keep you warm on chilly nights. There are two indoor dining areas - one in the living room and another in the gourmet kitchen. When you're not enjoying one of Carmel's fabulous restaurants you'll prepare meals here with pleasure: ivory-painted cabinetry and a contrasting natural wood island, gleaming granite, tumbled stone, alabaster lighting fixtures, a SubZero side-by-side refrigerator and a Thermador gas cooktop with a grill. There's a powder room and a stack Bosch washer/dryer in an alcove off the kitchen; multiple French doors open to a Carmel stone patio with a gas grill on one side, and an arbor-covered veranda on the other.
The master suite upstairs has a Queen sized bed and small balconies that overlook the garden and a peek of the ocean. The sitting area has a Samsung TV in an armoire, and the en suite bath with tub/shower is finished with soft, sand-colored travertine.
A second guest room upstairs is a symphony of soft blues, reflecting the ocean views. Soothing, cream-colored walls, a full sized bed, and a private bath with a tub/shower combine to make this a lovely retreat. Downstairs, the third guest room has a Twin trundle bed, a private bath with shower, and French doors that open to the backyard. (Note: the second and third guest rooms have very small closets, which may be a consideration for some guests.)
The literal definition of pura vida is "pure life," but South of the border the real meaning is closer to, "This is living!" Guests lucky enough to stay at Pura Vida will no doubt agree.
