About this property

A fisherman's house nestled in the picturesque Saint Goustan port.

For a wonderful holiday we offer a heavenly location with a perfect backdrop. Those who love old stonework will appreciate this charming little fisherman's house located snugly in the stunning port of Saint Goustan. Located in a quiet pedestrianised street, for 2 persons. We have hand-picked refined décor, such as a cabinet of curiosities. You can appreciate the unique style. The house boasts a large loft bedroom with a stove (which creates an incredible atmosphere on winter evenings) and bathtub, a kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, and a landscaped terrace serving as an extra dining option - should you prefer. As much in summer as in winter, Manor House will entice and enchant you for a weekend (out of season), or for a week. The house is 50 metres from the port and its shops, restaurants, bars, abundant art galleries, and the pier with access to the fantastic Gulf of Morbihan! You can enjoy the harbour with its special atmosphere, cobblestone streets, and timber framed houses. Thanks to its location, heritage and history, Auray is also one of the newest, sought-after, tourist destinations in Morbihan. Saint Goustan port is a dream come true. Lots of artists have settled here, almost rivalling the famous Pont-Aven.
Auray is a perfect starting point to discover:
Moriban, Vannes - close by and its Gulf (cruises are possible), Lorient and its Inter-Celtic Festival , Trinité-sur-Mer - a mecca for sailing and Carnac and its menhirs.Get stuck into our authentic Brittany. We hope to see you soon...

Excellent location
Excellent quiet location just feet from the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants. Parking difficult so we were reluctant to drive out. Not for the elderly or infirm. Cobwebs everywhere. The bath is a struggle to get out of for a relatively fit person.no information pack as to where things are or how they work.Ok for a couple of nights but not 2 weeks as we did. Only 2 towels and no oven

A one off property!
A very quirky property to say the least, it was like staying for a week in an antique shop! We loved it, even has a an Ammonite in the wall…if you can find it!

House full of charm and character - a treasure box in Saint Goustan
Superb quiet location, it’s a very short walk to the little old harbour, where there are many good restaurants to choose from, and just 5 minutes walk from the pretty town of Auray. The owner is extremely helpful and speaks perfect English if that would be useful to you. The house is delightful, filled with collections of pictures, curios and all kinds of strange and beautiful objects. You will still be finding new things to look at on your last day - just remember to make a mental note where you put your keys and your phone or it could be a few minutes before you find them again. Ideal for two people who want a base to explore the region, the house is compact, very comfortable and a little bit luxurious. There’s also a small paved garden to sit in. The bedroom upstairs is very spacious, with a free-standing bath in the corner. We stayed in the winter and it was lovely and warm, and the log-burning stoves were a bonus but not essential. If you are looking for some unique and interesting experiences in Brittany, then allow this house to be part of the adventure and go with the flow. If, on a practical level, you worry about storage space, (although there was plenty for us and we arrived with a car full of stuff) then take a tip from the owner and hide things in plain sight. Does it have WiFi? Yes. The router is under the goat skull and next to the bowler hat.
