About this property

Brand New Cabin, Romantic, Private,Adjacent to George Washington National Forest

This is a beautiful private cabin. Built on a piece of property, in a location we treasure. The cabin is close to hiking trails and mountain biking trails, boat landings, national forest stocked fishing ponds.
1/3 of a mile from Shenandoah River Outfitters.
We are 10 miles outside of the town of Luray, bring your supplies and get lost in this beautiful area.
The cabin was completed January of 2018.
The cabin itself has 2 queen bedrooms with private baths. There is a living room with a huge flat screen, satellite TV and stone fireplace. Lose yourself in the woods, but if necessary you can connect with Wi-Fi
There is a full kitchen with everything you need supplied, even a dishwasher, washer and dryer, refrigerator with ice maker, and granite counter tops.

There are rocking chairs to relax on the front porch or even better relax in the huge 7-person hot tub on the patio.
If you love to mountain bike or hike there are lots of trails nearby, we include some local maps, if you would rather canoe, kayak, raft or tube Shenandoah River Outfitters is a stone throw. If you have your own canoe, there are loads of river access points within a few miles of the cabin. If you would rather horseback ride, Fort Valley Stables is nearby.
The location, décor, cabin is perfect, We have had Gander Island cabins for years and everyone loves our cabins now we have the “out post”, for a change for repeat customers and a place we can go that we love.

Loved it!
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and we loved it! The property was very clean and well taken care of. The kitchen was well-stocked which was nice because we cooked most of our meals and it had everything that we needed.

Amazing Thanksgiving
Stayed 4 nights at the cabin. Pros: Cabin was extremely clean. Hot Tub was in great shape. Fire pit was great to use. Views from the front porch were amazing. Sleeping / Bathroom situation was perfect for 2 couples, as we all had our own space. Cons: It is about 20 min drive to town. Luckily we did not forget any essentials. Summary: Overall an amazing trip, beautiful location, clean cabin, well appointed kitchen. Would definitely come back.

Just right!
This cabin was great! It was very clean, well cared for and had everything we needed. The jacuzzi was a welcomed added perk that we enjoyed at the end of active days of hiking or fishing. The fall colors were spectacular! I had to contact the owner to ask a question and she answered on the first ring and was so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
