Great Location - Nice home
We stayed at Storybook Lodge August 2018 for 1 week.
Pros: Great location, Near most of the attractions, Great Wildlife viewing right from the
balcony, tucked away in a nice spot away from the busy city, Great nearby trails. Our kids loved this fully equipped home!
Cons: TV malfunctioned throughout entire stay, but we did enjoy the time spent away from such distractions. The next door neighbor's home is very close and their security flood light (which is pointed directly at the bedroom window) went on and off constantly throughout the night, which lit up the entire upstairs rear bedroom. The window covering was thin and did not block any light... it was very miserable. I suspect the wind was the problem, it was very windy during most of the evenings of our stay. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the annoying security light. Probably should purchase some sort of light blocking window coverings for that side of the home.
Other than lack of sleep everything else was marvelous. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
Beds were super cozy, the view from the patio with a fresh coffee watching the sunrise and sunset was stunning.
Our small family of 4 loved this cabin in the woods. The set up was perfect. We have a 16 yr old son and 11 year old daughter. They got the upstairs and we got the down stairs. I started each morning off on the deck with coffee and devotions. The humming birds kept me company and entertained. The place was neat and provided us with a very comfortable home away from home. (We stayed a week and the only thing we missed was having a washer and dryer, but we packed enough so no worries.)
Right up the hill and over you will find a trail head of several wonderful hikes. One that connects with the Thomas trail where we found beautiful falls and was right up from Green Mountain Falls. We even when to the top to see Castle Rock.
The last morning we were there 2 deer came to visit and my daughter feed them right out of her hand.
Great memories were made.
Thanks for the great place.

Very nice home in a fairly secluded location. Only 2 miles to Pikes Peak highway.
We enjoyed our stay here as this home is in a quiet area with nice views. House was clean and comfortable. Only 7 miles to Woodland Park for groceries and whatever else you need. Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds and Pikes Peak are a short drive from the home. We also went to Royal Gorge which was a little more than an hour away. Would recommend this home. BK
Great spot, Needs a Matress Upgrade.
Really enjoyed morning on the deck. Local tourist areas were fun. Still recovering from the Manitou incline. Bring extra sleeping bags or matress toppers and you will really enjoy yourself,
We loved it!
We had a great time staying at Storybook Lodge! It was a very comfortable stay, (in response to the reviewer posting about the beds: we all slept comfortably on them and had no complaints there!) the kitchen was super nice, and the wildlife seen right from the deck was awesome. The mountainside views from the lodge were beautiful, and the location is fairly secluded. The wifi worked well though we had little to no cell phone reception there. Overall it was a good place to stay for us because it was very close to nearby attractions (Pike's Peak, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods). We would love to come back sometime! Thanks!
