It was clean and comfortable
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this place to all my friends on vacstion
Top Spot
Stayed here for the start of the Molokai to Oahu race in July. Well appointed, clean apartment with everything we needed. Josh was very helpful. Highly recommend.
Clean, snd lots of room.
It was farther than expected. Clean and comfortable. The unit could use new screen doors, an air conditioning unit in the master bedroom, and new shower heads in the bathrooms. It was a short drive to the beach. The pool was nice and the hours were accommodating. Registration is only open from 1 to 6pm. So if you miss it, you better know where to go. Joshua, the owner was also accommodating to our needs. We really enjoyed the relaxation Molokai has to offer. We will return again. Thanks!
We had a very good time
Josh your apartment is great, suche comfort . Thank you.
Suffers from decay and neglect.
The unit was dirty, cabinets are falling apart, toilet has problems, Teflon coating on pans is ruined. Too many small appliances clutter the very limited kitchen space. There are other units in this complex in better shape.
Common grounds were nice, pool was clean, local beaches were great.
Molokai was a great to relax but not to be pampered. We will be back next year but will stay on the lush east end.
Wonderful relaxing vacation spot.
We really enjoyed our stay at Josh’s condo. The unit was comfortable and clean. Communication with Josh was easy. West Molokai is beautiful and relaxing.
Map
This is a superb location for exploring some of the gorgeous (and empty) beaches on the west end of Molokai. Make sure to visit the Kalaupapa lookout and perhaps hike down to the Kalaupapa peninsula (and see the world's tallest sea cliffs). Hike to Halawa falls on the other side of the island, enjoy safe year-round swimming at Dixie's Beach just down the road, or hang around the condo and enjoy the pool and the jacuzzi (the only one on the island - and it's a really good one), ping pong table, and tennis courts. Wonderful surf break right out back. Kualapu'u Cookhouse just next to the coffee plantation (another 'not to miss'). Cook at home or at on site barbecues. Try the Pizza Cafe and don't miss Hotel Molokai. Line up at the bakery at midnight, enjoy tasty vegetarian food at the Outpost. Get acquainted with small town island life. Slow down - you're on Molokai.
Other Activities: whale watching, stargazing, sunset watching, shell collecting, hiking
Golf: Voted '#3 Most Thrilling Hole in Hawaii - Kaluakoi Hole No. 3, par 3,184 yards' - Seattle Post Intelligencer by Tracy Cabot and Marshall Whitfield. Course architect Robin Nelson and NBC golf analyst Mark Rolfing helped finalize the selection and arranged the holes in the best playing sequence.
Kaluakoi Golf Course is a recently reopened and refurbished 18-hole Par 72 golf course designed by Theodore 'Ted' Robinson that combines challenging golf with a visual experience that takes advantage of the unparalleled West Molokai views with beautiful ocean views and island contours with open range land blending with the untouched wilderness. You will find 'no waiting' for this oceanfront golf course. Using the natural terrain and narrow fairways, there are some tough bunkers and water hazards to maneuver around. The first 9 holes are at sea level with panoramic views over the isolated 3 mile white sand Papohaku Beach towards the island of Oahu in the distance. A stiff wind is often present as this course provides a scenic and challenging experience.
