The hosts just completely stopped replying to our messages through the app after our initial inquiry into the non-functioning fridge when we first checked in, not did they answer literally any other messages during our stay. We didn’t even receive an answer when we inquired about how to check out. I had to try to call the host multiple times on the morning that we were supposed to be leaving, and when THAT was met with no answer, eventually my partner had to walk down to the Main Street to try to find the owners because we didn’t know what to do. This was stressful and pretty frustrating.
The food at the restaurant owned by the hosts is wonderful. Best Trofie pasta and pesto we had in Cinque Terre, hands down.
The unit was cool- It has its own little courtyard outside where you can see the town and is pretty spacious. It’s very close to the main town area and the train station, which is super convenient.
The sound from the train station is super loud, especially at night/ Besides the sound of the trains coming and going, you can hear the “ding ding” of the doors closing & the announcements from the station speakers clear as day from like 6/7 am to midnight.
The power kept going out & we didn't know there was a breaker by the front door to turn it all back on. When we got there initially the fridge was off and defrosting because of it. It happened (& the fridge kept shutting off) several times throughout our stay when we were sleeping or out so we decided not to use the fridge much as it didn’t seem like we could trust it.
There aren't really any extra supplies, so bring laundry soap, paper towel, garbage bags, napkins, a new sponge, etc. Relatively clean unit overall, but the kitchen and its contents could have used a deep clean
