• DOG POLICY •
Hidden Hollow is a great place to bring your dog. We let our dogs run free without concerns of cars. There are three dog dishes, and two large comfy dog beds available, as well as a dog gate and mudroom equipped with 'dog towels'. There is also a poop can behind the house, pooper scoopers, and small bags to take on hikes. Please pick up your dog poop - even on the trails. This makes it much nicer for the next guest who comes along. No dogs allowed on any furniture. Please prevent your dog from jumping on window ledges and screens. Your dog is free to run around and explore! However, we are not responsible for any harm or injury. If you need to wash your dog, please use the exterior hose. No dogs in the Bathtub! Please be sure that your dogs are up on all shots, and heartworm and tick medication.
• FIRE SAFETY •
We have a beautiful indoor fireplace in the FarmHouse, a small woodstove in the cabin, and an outdoor fire pit which we hope you use! If you are not that familiar with building fires, please read the guide in the Farmhouse. To ensure that the fireplace vents properly, please refer to the guide before using - we don’t want to fill the room with smoke just before you sit down to dinner!
• WATER SAFETY AND WAIVER •
We welcome you to enjoy the pond! In the early summer it’s wonderful for a swim, (skinny dippers welcome!), and throughout the warm months it’s perfect for exploring and taking out the kayaks. You must supply your own lifejackets. Please do use extreme care when enjoying the pond. We are not responsible for any harm or injury or accident that may occur.
• OUTDOOR SAFETY •
We welcome you to explore Hidden Hollow. The trails are beautiful for walking or snowshoeing. Be aware of sunburns, ticks and mosquitoes. We have sunscreen and insect repellant available.
