3 bedroom, lakefront home on a gentle sloping lot
About Hollie Parker-Winzenread
Hollie was born and raised in nearby Johnson, Vermont and spent many enjoyable summers on Lake Eden.
Hollie Parker-Winzenread purchased this House in 2018
Why Hollie Parker-Winzenread chose Eden
Hollie, Rusty and their son Christian vacationed in this house last year and liked it so much that they bought it! The house is only 5 years old and was built with pride by the previous owner. It is light and spacious and provides all the creature comforts you need for a relaxing and memorable vacation. We hope you enjoy being here as much as we do!
What makes this House unique
Located on Lake Eden ( Depth Charts Of Vt Lakes and scroll to Eden Lake) , one of Vermont's most pristine lakes, which is shaped line an "H". The front side is more active and the back side more conducive to paddling although they are interchangeable. This house is located close to the end of the peninsula on a gentle sloping lot to the water (no need for stairs to the water!). The dock, open living room and MBR face west over the front side and the open kitchen looks over the accessible back side. The screened in porch has views of both sides of the lake. The open concept living area and MBR are all on the first floor.

This was the perfect experience for our first trip to Vermont! The house really felt like home and was spacious and comfortable. There was even some firewood for us to make a fire by the lake which was nice. The lake on both sides was breathtaking with the colors of the fall foliage. The check in process was easy and Hollie was quick to communicate! There was even some coffee to get our trip started and we made sure to re-stock it before we left for the next visitors because it was such a nice thing to arrive to. Something to plan for on your day of departure: the check out process asks to do several loads of laundry(sheets and hand towels) before leaving. In other properties, we haven't been asked to do along with the cleaning fee but we did as much as time would allow and all of the cleaning products were there for us so it was relatively simple while we were packing up; just make sure you don't have to leave early! We are already planning to return for our family trip next year! Thank you, Hollie!
Thanks Nicole and I am glad you enjoyed your stay! Thx for the feedback on the laundry request. It's a courtesy request for folks to at least start a set of sheets so we will change that in our check out process to clarify.
Wonderful Time Aug 2019
The owners provided great details on where to eat, groceries, directions, local information, etc. Lots of indoor & outdoor toys for adults and kids. My granddaughter fell in love with the ducks and the polly pockets. Plenty of fishing, boating and swimming. Water was clear and clean. On the peninsula so little traffic to worry about. House was well stocked for cooking. Parking was easy.
The location is ideal and the home is both very comfortable and better provisioned than any home rental I have visited. Owners are helpful and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Thanks Robert and glad you enjoyed your stay! We look forward to seeing you and your family next year!
Great property with many features to enjoy a vacation! Owner was very responsive, will return for sure!
This house was absolutely amazing. The pictures don't do it justice -- it was spacious and clean and was well-equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We made ample use of the kayaks and the board games were really fun. What a great way to spend a long, hot weekend near (and in) the lake.
Best Home on the Lake! (July 2-15, 2019)
My husband and I loved this home for a number of reasons. 1) Hollie was great and answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner, 2) it was the best location for us because we had family staying at the campground and we could paddle across to visit, 3) the house was clean, beautiful, and modern - I wasn't looking for a "cabin", 4) Eden Lake is the perfect lake!! We are already planning for next year!
Thanks so much Janis! So glad you enjoyed your stay. Lake Eden is a special place! We look forward to seeing you next year!
Our house is conveniently located about 30 minutes from Stowe, Smuggler's Notch, and Jay Peak which offer year round activities and festivals. 1 hour from Montpelier, Vermont's capital city. We are also only 2 hours away from beautiful Montreal!
