This wonderful 1930's 2 bedroom cabin showcases old Idyllwild charm. Unique places like this are hard to find especially this close to town. This home has beautiful douglas fir hardwood floors, cedar walls and ceilings. A Large living room & fireplace/insert, and very unique pocket windows. Our old style country kitchen has a spacious dining area with and adjacent small deck area for morning coffee or tea. Our cabin also features a very large enclosed deck with plenty of space to cook and enjoy the outdoors. It's also a great place for pets to keep them safe when outside. We are close to town about 1/2 mile or about 20-25 min walk. Just 3 minutes or less by car. Our home is ideal for families or just a couple wanting to get away from it all. For larger groups we also have small separate studio with kitchen & bath and can offer a discount if you rent both cabins. Please inquire for availability if interested.

About Mark Skiles
LA guy. Now living in Idyllwild full time. Vegan/Animal Lover.
Mark Skiles purchased this Cabin in 2018
Why Mark Skiles chose Idyllwild
As a realtor I've seen a lot of homes on the mountain. This property stood out the minute I saw it. It's from an era long gone. My first thought was Goldilocks and 3 cabins in the woods! I was so excited and couldn't wait to start my projects to make this place beautiful. I wanted to create the warm cabin feel and invite my guests to enjoy old Idyllwild charm. Situated in a nice area but close to town. The home is new to VRBO as of June 2018.
What makes this Cabin unique
Gorgeous hardwood floors and cedar walls/ceilings. My favorite thing is the pocket windows in the living room and the rock fireplace. The home is roomy and comfortable.

Wonderful stay in the mountains!!
It was my daughters 14th birthday and we went up with some of her friends. She had a great time, I had a great time. Mark was a great host and Karen was very friendly. She helped me out with advice driving in the snow. I, rarely, drive in the snow. The cabin is perfect, it has all the amenities and is very cozy. My daughter and her friends even made a snowman. The kitchen is stocked, we made a birthday cake, cupcakes, and cookies, we only had to bring the ingredients. We all can’t wait to stay there again. Thanks Mark!!
Very nice place in quiet area of Idyllwild!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It's in a nice neighborhood with easy access to town and other activities. The only thing we would improve would be the number of towels provided and better lighting along the parking area as well as the stairs to Cabin A. We had an elderly couple visit us and they had difficulty navigating the stone steps.
Cozy cabin with excellent amenities
We had a wonderful stay at Marien Drive. The cabin is full of character, cozy but also has fast internet and a wide selection of TV options (useful for timeouts with a busy three year old). It’s close to the heart of Idyllwild but also feels tucked away. Mark was an excellent host, responding promptly to any questions we had. We would happily stay again!
Quaint and cozy cabin .... plenty of room to cook and dine.
Had a great time staying at this weekend getaway cabin. Owner, Mark is a gem and Karen checked on us to make sure we were doing well. Close to town. Pet friendly for our pups. Just the quick time away we needed. Can't wait to come back again. Cabin big enough where we have room to cook in ample sized kitchen and rooms are cozy and comfortable. Didn't want to leave. Enjoyed idyllywld and intend to visit again soon.
Wonderful cabin. Too much traffic.
Beautiful, original, condition with necessary updates. Tastefully done. Well equipped kitchen, even to the full spice cabinet.
However, the road is way too busy for relaxing walks or children to play near.
So, an ok place if there are no kids or pets to worry about.
Sue has booked with me in the past at one of my other cabins. Being a repeat customer I gave her one free night. "You're welcome." :) Thanks for staying and happy holidays.
R & R time was wonderful
Very nice cozy cabin, clean, comfortable bed, great location. Kitchen well equipped. Great outdoor areas. Everything you need for a relaxing stay in the mountains.
Would definitely stay here again! It was nice to be out of the heat for a couple of days. Nothing like mountain air to revive a person.
