Piper Retreat
We had a lovely time on at this relaxing home right on Piper Pond. The location was lovely and peaceful, and the home was clean and relaxing, with the most amazing screen porch for morning coffee. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and fire pit. The swim beach next to the property was convenient and never crowded or intrusive.

Communication Issues with Owner
The house was lovely and the location was ideal but the communication with the home owners was severely lacking. We weren't given instructions before we arrived to the house even after leaving several messages with the home owners. Also, during checkout they had booked the next stays arrival too close for our departure which logistically caused problems for everyone.

Perfect Family Vacation
Imagine stepping out of the living room through the glass sliders and onto the shaded deck, the water stretches out to the forested hills across the way. The undisturbed water creates a mirror, perfectly reflecting the picturesque landscape surrounding it. In the early morning, a thin mist rolls over the water and onto the shore, creating an almost ethereal effect. You take a deep breath of the fresh Maine air with a cup of coffee warming your hands. You cannot help but feel completely relaxed, stress entirely dissipating from your mind and body. This was the whole reason you came, and the feeling will stay with you for days after you leave. We are a family of four, our kids are 3 and 7. We've never used VRBO before, and this was our first vacation as a family. We absolutely could not have been happier with our experience and plan on booking a full week next year. If you have small children, look no further, this is the place for you. The things that initially drew us to this property were the waterfront and access to kayaks to explore the water. The listing doesn't do this property justice, and honestly nothing could; you're just going to have to come stay here yourself. While just my family stayed here, this home could very easily accommodate another family of four, with the parents downstairs and the kids all sleeping together in the large "kids" room. My kids took full advantage of the toys at the camp, but we spent most of our time in the gigantic (and I do mean gigantic) yard between the house and the water. There was enough space on the grass to have four or five activities happening at once. My son loved walking into the water and seeing tadpoles, polliwogs, and frogs (hoppies) and small fish (flippies). We spent hours on the public beach which was barely used by anyone but us for a majority of the time we were there. We hunted for cool rocks, shells, and mussels! We also took the kayaks out and went on an adventure. My kids loved it! The inside of the house was perfect. Homeowners have cooking materials (pots/pans) for use, the Wifi was an absolute must since cell service was almost nil, the beds are comfortable, the home itself is cutely decorated and very inviting. The best room in the house is the living room with the glass sliders leading out to the deck. From there, you can see the water, trees, hills, the whole picture. The screened-in porch on the deck was used daily. Thank you so much for use of your beautiful home!

Beautiful view of the North Shore
The property is close to private, with the exception of the public beach on one side, which rarely had visitors and was perfect to walk the kids to. The kids caught lots of sun fish off the dock while we enjoyed the view from the house deck. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place for people looking to enjoy being outdoors with children and having quality family time!

We grew up in the area: Chad-Abbot and Veronica-Wellington and are now fortunate to have a second home on Piper Pond in Abbot. We have settled in N.Yarmouth and make the 2hr trip upta camp as much as possible. We have enjoyed taking a well built older home and making it our own. We are now looking to share this great property with those visiting the area and want to learn what makes Abbot- Maine's #1 town.

What makes this property unique
