Peace in Carmel Valley
Charming cottage with plenty of room to spread out and relax. We enjoyed bird watching in the garden area as well as the Meadow near by.
Perfect little get away
Anne is a great host and meadow cottage was a perfect size for us! We enjoyed very much the peaceful view and the location was great for our stay.
Worked for us. Better than a motel.
Loved this little cottage! It was close to great restaurants! Just wish it wasn't so close to the main house. Anne and her family were nice and friendly, but when I was excited to go out to have coffee outside in the morning sun, the owners family was sitting in the chairs on the deck... Felt awkward so I didn't go enjoy the sun and drove to get coffee instead. Otherwise for the short time we were there, it was great.
This little house is a real gem.
We enjoyed our stay in this quiet artist retreat. Its clean, comfy and ideal for a relaxing time. After a glass of wine we strolled in the park next door. I loved watching the wild turkeys!
A very cute little place to relax and enjoy Carmel Valley.
Beautiful and peaceful. Private, clean and comfortable. Fantastic.
Property is stunning. Great location to all Carmel Valley, Carmel by the Sea and Highway 1.
Meadow Cottage is the perfect quiet getaway. Cute, comfortable and some memorable touches (like watercolor paints and bath robes!). We enjoyed coffee overlooking the meadow, ChromeCast on the TV, and use of the gas BBQ. THANK YOU, Anne, for a wonderful weekend.
Start your day with a walk on the Meadow. Then head down to Carmel Valley Village (1.8 miles away) for coffee and pastries at the Wild Goose. The Village offers boutique shopping, art studios to browse, wine tasting, and fine restaurants. A massage at Bernardus Lodge & Spa (4 miles) might be a nice detour. Check out the calendar for Hidden Valley (2 miles) to see if there's a musical performance. Garland Ranch Regional Park (4.6 miles) has an extensive network of hiking trails, and even places to wade in the Carmel River. Take the scenic 20-minute drive down the Valley Road to Carmel-by-The-Sea and walk along Carmel Beach. Nearby attractions include Big Sur, Point Lobos, and the Monterey Aquarium. You can go whale watching, play a round of golf at any number of public courses, and horseback ride on the beach. A women's surf lesson is offered on Tuesday morning in Monterey. A bag piper plays every evening at sunset on the golf course at The Inn at Spanish Bay (free valet parking). Mission Ranch Restaurant and its piano bar are a fun way to finish up the day. Be sure you have a flashlight when you get back to the Cottage - it's very dark here under the clear night sky.
